Who Else Wants to Raise Venture Capital?

If you’re interested in raising venture capital for your business, this will be the most important website you ever visit.

My name is Dave Lavinsky, and I’ve been helping entrepreneurs like you raise venture capital since 1999. My clients have raised more than $1 Billion, and as a result, we’ve received a lot of recognition from the press.

I’ve organized all of my best strategies and tips into a step-by-step system that you can use to get funded faster. I call this system “Venture Capital Pitch Formula.” Watch this free video presentation to learn more about my proven methodology and how you can apply it to your business.

In the meantime, I want to share with you the four steps to raising venture capital.

Step 1. Preparation

The first step is to do some homework. Before you can expect to receive funding, you need to be prepared to answer some important questions such as “How much money do you want to raise?” Also, consider how much ownership in your company you’re ready to give to investors. Next, you need to do some research to identify the perfect venture capitalists for your business, and I’ll show you exactly how to do that.

Step 2. The Approach

Once you know who you’re going to approach for funding, you need to make sure you do it right... because you only get 1 first impression. That means you need to perfect your elevator pitch, and you also need to know how to network and build rapport with investors. I give you all the strategies and tactics you need to make the initial contact a success, so you get your VC meeting...

Step 3. The Pitch

OK, at this point you’ve piqued the venture capitalist’s interest and it’s time to make your VC presentation (also known as the “pitch”). Do you know what to say, and precisely what order you should structure your presentation? Do you know the common mistakes and pitfalls to avoid when presenting to investors? I’ve been helping entrepreneurs present to investors for more than 10 years, and I’ll share with you all of my best strategies for getting investors to say “YES”...

Step 4. The Close

Once you’ve dazzled investors with your presentation, the next step is the term sheet. And here’s where the venture capital negotiations begin. If you’re not prepared for this stage in the funding process, bad things can happen... The deal could go south, or worse, you can end up losing control of your company. I’ll show you how to make sure you’re prepared for due diligence, and I’ll even show you what you can do to gain the upper hand in VC negotiations...
